SEVEN OF WANDS
7 of Wands w/ Blue Aragonite. Whatever opposition you're experiencing, it's NOT meant to be fought w/ frustration or anger. Yes, stand your ground, root yourself in your personal beliefs, but do not fight. Any cussing, yelling, or screaming you've given or received, offer these harsh words patience + forgiveness. You expand your horizons by calming this fiery energy through loving, directed focus. Peacefully remind yourself to speak from the heart. When you do, this upgrades your life to soothing opportunities w/ people who are capable of giving you the love + respect you so deserve.
Isn't it pretty cool when you are praised for your hard work? APPRECIATION makes us feel important and it reaffirms the value of our ACTIONS. When someone says, "dude, that's dope, nice job," despite their douchiness for saying 'dope,' aren't you more motivated to continue pursuing what you've been doing? Or what if someone "LIKES" your post on IG? Or thanks you for cleaning the bathroom? How does RECOGNITION subconsciously effect your day to day actions? What is your relationship to PRAISE? 👍🏆 7 of Wands is a card of DIRECT OPPOSITION to reaching your goal. When it shows up UPRIGHT is signifies pushing ahead by accepting that you are not always going to receive the support, praise, and recognition of others. When it shows up REVERSED it shows a tendency to fall down from your role of leadership bc you are SEEKING APPROVAL. You'll notice the main figure on the card stands on rocky ground, perhaps insinuating he's not sure exactly where he stands. This can often manifest as being HIGHLY DEFENSIVE...who me?! 😳
When a Minor Arcana card shows up REVERSED, you can take it as a sign as being stuck in the energy of the previous card. This takes the PERSEVERANCE and LEADERSHIP of the 7 back to the PRAISE and RECOGNITION of the 6. When you believe in yourself, it doesn't matter what ANYONE else thinks. Through posting my daily tarot reads for the past two months I have learned to let my guard down (notice how the figure guards his heart with a wand). This has helped me work through insecurities I may have about seeking the approval of others. In the past I have refrained from being so open about my thoughts out of fear of being rejected. Putting your beliefs out into the world can be vulnerable. If you find yourself getting caught up in the APPROVAL of others you'll loose FOCUS (the theme of '8 of Wands) on what your ultimate purpose in life is. I am leaving behind the need for approval in 2015 to narrow in on my LOVE of TAROT in the new year.
