What karmic cycle are you currently pushing through? The Hierophant Rx ✨I receive "hate-mail" from time to time. I thought about posting the entire message telling me to, "take [my] chakras, crystals, incense, downward dog, and "magic" and [to] shove it up [my] ass right next to where [I've] placed [my] head," but I'll spare you the details + focus on moving forward. 😂 ✨The more I open up about my mystical healing experiences, the more opportunity I'm gifted to push through resistance + persevere. ✨What's cool about this well-crafted message from a stranger is that this could've been me years ago. The sharp tongue! The wit + logic! The cynicism + fire! The need for justice! So I deeply bow to this human reflecting bits of pieces of myself back at me. 🙏 ✨What a perfect reminder that we all have such vast points of view + experiences. I can't know his, but I can know mine! Six years ago my nervous system was shot and I was hyperventilating in an emergency room w/ my stomach tied in knots to the point I couldn't stand up. I was crying hysterically bc I thought I was crazy. My connection to the chakras, tarot, yoga, crystals, and "magic" saved my fucking life! This I CAN know. And no one can ever take that from me! ✨The Hierophant Rx invites us to break free from structures and beliefs not aligned with our highest interest. Today I love-blast the karmic cycle that other's beliefs + experiences will dictate my life! Today I stand stronger than ever in my conviction that we hold the power to heal our lives through connecting to our breath, the Earth, and each other! I hope even for just one second my posts put a smile on your face. I hope my sharing helps those struggling with self-doubt find the strength to write their own doctrine of values, ones that most nurture their own unique contributions to the world! ✨Remember, you hold the power to write your own laws. Keep loving yourself + others. Rest easy knowing you have a right to your own beautiful perspective!
The Hierophant asks, "How might I benefit from revisiting old traditions, beliefs, and books I used to enjoy reading?" The World ✨Revisiting the old, what once brought you comfort in times of spiritual need, gifts you the wonderful opportunity to see just how far you've come. Patterns you once found yourself stuck in, you're now able to see and understand how you've found away to liberate yourself from their cyclical nature. ✨As many of you, looking through old books, journals, and letters can be quite nostalgic, but even more so eye opening. It's as if the collection of memories, experiences, and past lives reawaken and dance together on their pages. At times, I often find myself quite surprised by how "with it" I was back in my youth. Even when still living in the comfort of my parent's home, I see a young boy who so powerfully tapped into his sense of personal Truth. And then again, other times, I witness naivety, confusion, and even ignorance mixed in the words and phrases. All of these, the enlightenment sprinkled with the trappings of the mind, form together to create the beautiful fool's journey we've been so willingly and not-so-willingly trotting along since the moment of our birth. ✨Last week, @wildsoulhealing came over to hang out/work on Brooklyn Fool's stuff, and she pointed out a book on my shelf I haven't picked up in years, "The Web That Has No Weaver: Understanding Chinese Medicine." Fanning through this book, and witnessing the amount of notes, highlights, and energy I put into the pages, I was instantly brought back to the beaches of North Carolina, when I, in a very Page of Swords type of way, was re-invigorated and re-inspired to learn for the first time post-college. This incredible, life-changing book encouraged me to move to New York City to learn Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. I gave myself a year of transition time to get used to the city before enrolling in such a big commitment and during that year, I heavily dove back into the world of tarot. The rest is herstory. But I'm finding a re-spark of inspiration by revisiting this very sacred book. ::Continued in comment below::
How does my Mercury placement influence my ability to articulate ideas? THE HIEROPHANT. ✨Mercury in Pisces gives a magical mentality with a dreamy point of view. When I'm on an escalator, an elevator, in a car, a plane, a train, any mode of transportation, I'm amazed. Even just FaceTiming or connecting to y'all on Instagram, I feel overwhelmed by how mysterious it all is. I often feel misplaced in time, like we're all in the future. You can think of Pisces in Mercury like Buddy from the movie Elf, where everything is mind-blowing magical. 💣🦄✨😂 ✨My Mercury in Pisces finds itself in the FIRST HOUSE, which gives it a really fiery + unique lens for channeling the very woo-woo Pisces energy through. Mercury in the First gives an active, curious, and sharp mentality, with a need to communicate + be seen. ✨My Time Passages Pro app (which I highly recommend if you are wanting to deepen your astrology studies) says this about my Mercury placement, "You are a perfect channel for unworldly, expansive ideas and information, as you have a natural ability to communicate to others." ✨Really cool to see the Hierophant here, as he acts as a channel between Heaven and Earth. I've never seen this astrological placement in quite this way before, so it comes as encouragement to continue to articulate my connection + understanding of everyday magic to others!
The Hierophant paired w/ seashell reminds you of the benefit of honoring tradition. This Pisces moon may bring up deep emotions, vivid dreams, and colorful new insights. If you're not careful, you could find yourself struggling to stay afloat by keeping busy with mundane tasks. Avoid this Virgo urge. Instead, take a pregnant pause to ground your watery energy through sacred ritual + devotion. Honor your ancestors through tradition. This way you seize the opportunity to harness the magic of this moon. You may even benefit from gathering with others who hold the same beliefs as you. If you accept the invitation into sacred worship, you calm your emotions and reconnect to a deeper sense of purpose and belonging.
Day 14: The Wheel of Fortune asks, “Where does change play a role in my life?” The Hierophant Reversed.
He tells me, “Do not wipe off your nail polish when you go home for Christmas." 😂💅 I grew up going to church every Sunday. In the pic you can see my confirmation cross. This time of my life was so important. It established a connection to something beyond myself and highlighted the importance of daily prayer and ritual. However, church never felt right. The dressing up in a tie and the monotone sermons and hymns felt restricting to my personal Truth. On a shallow level, yes, I was unable to fully express my “gayness.” But it’s more than that, my Truth is a deep knowing that within each of us masculine and feminine parts dance. We live in a beautiful world of synchronicity. If we pay attention to nature, we will understand the Heaven we seek already exists.
When the Hierophant shows up in a reading, its often an indicator to follow rules and tradition. Much can be gained from joining a group. I’ve seen this show up in readings as grad school, group therapy, and even joining something like CrossFit, which has a very rigid set of rules and expectations placed on its followers. The Hierophant invites in the energy of group identity.
However, the Hierophant reversed is another story. This invites in an energy to break free from the group, to leave behind structures and ideas not aligned with your highest interest.
Seeing the REVERSED HIEROPHANT for this question, it offers a meditation on the impact society plays on my life. Being a tarot reader from a Christian family in the South, I often find myself reflecting on the contradictions. Despite what many think about the Tarot, it originates from Christian Mysticism.
I’m going home for Christmas next week and I look forward to the Christmas Eve service and Christian tradition bc I'm grounded in my beliefs. It's important to honor family traditions, while remaining intact with your own personal Truth. The greatest lesson of REVERSED HIEROPHANT: acknowledge the pressure you feel from a group or society. If you feel yourself being forced to conform, stand true to yourself.
