FOUR OF PENTACLES
What do I need to know in order to allow the new to flow in as easily as possible? 4 of Pentacles
When flipping this card, the image of a canal came to mind. The great spirit, the life force that runs through us, is like a river and can not be contained. "River she is flowing/ flowing and growing." But throughout our lives, we build beautiful cities + towers out of our hopes + dreams. If we aren't careful, we may cement ourselves in to a concrete world with stuck beliefs or expectations. In order to stay connected to our truth, great spirit, the flowing waters, we must hydrate our souls. We must build canals.
The 4 of Pentacles offers a powerful reminder of the importance of building walls. They don't have to always act as barriers. When set in place with the intention for water to flow, canals have the power to irrigate an entire village.
To answer the deep soul searching urge, the call of the Hermit, to rediscover our personal truth, amongst the City of Dreams lifestyle, is the great voyage back to the ocean. "River she is flowing down to the sea." We must never let our canals run dry. When must never let the life force run empty. It's necessary to tap back into our source, to plunge back into the deep blue mysterious ocean. It's what keeps us hydrated and alive. "Oh mother carry me / Your child I'll always be / Oh mother carry me / down to the sea." Canals make this possible, while still reaching for our aspirations. This card is a reminder to create boundaries. Phone on airplane mode first + last hour of every day. 20 minutes of meditation at noon. Walk in the park a few times a week. It doesn't matter what the rules are, and how strictly you stick to them. The reminder is, to create a structure with the intention for water to flow through. To create boundaries for yourself that will keep you focused, but also hydrated. And if you feel your river is growing and can no longer be contained, make a bigger canal. Give yourself permission to take more breaks in your day to connect w/ spirit. ✨Let your walls be that of a canal, a safe container to hydrate your soul, for the life force to run through.
