he Emperor shows himself as a reminder of the importance of structure + order, not in a way to control or gain power, but rather as a holder of sacred space. By creating a structure, you allow room for growth + healing. Neptune is an ethereal planet connected to the imagination and other realms of existence. Its placement in your chart influences the ways in which you receive inspiration, so that you may express yourself spiritually on this plane. ✨My Neptune finds itself in hardworking, ambitious Capricorn in the socially-oriented 11th House. This pairing indicates a strong need for the work I'm involved in to be in a group setting in which expression of spiritual ideals is the main focus. This has manifested in my life as, The Brooklyn Fools Tarot Journey. ✨Oct 20 // How does my Neptune placement spark inspiration in my life? The Emperor ✨I've gathered in sacred ritual with other Fools in this way for three years now, and I'm so inspired by the healing this format has brought to my life and to many others. By having a very structured-like Capricorn container created in a group-oriented 11th-House sorta way, is totally inspiring to me. So much so, I've signed a soul contract (very Neptune in Capricorn) to be a holder of space for others (11th House) for at least another 19 years (one year for each Major Arcana card). I am inspired to hold this Emperor-like space for those who are interested in deepening their connection to themselves through the tarot! I can't wait for the next journey to begin with @wildsoulhealing this January! ***If you've filled out an application to be apart of the next journey, I'll be responding to those applications in the next week or so! Either way, goodnight y'all! Dream in color!
Simplify your life by breaking your own rules. Pay attention to what you allow yourself to do and not do. One way to experiment, say "Yes" to everything for the next 24 hours, even as scary or out of character as it may be for you. Watch what happens. When you expand yourself beyond your list of do's and don't's, you may just find yourself rediscovering what brings you joy, and what doesn't. Try it out, and let me know how it goes.
Mother + Father respectively represent the duality of energy that exist within + without. Yin + Yang. Passive + Active. Inward + Outward. Inside each of us we have our own inner-mother, inner-father, + inner-child energy. ***If you check out my previous posts with the Judgement card, you will see all three of these energies fully waking up to a unified truth.
On Father's Day, I find it a beautiful opportunity to check-in, listen to, + celebrate your inner-father. Yang energy is EXPANSIVE + GIVING. If we have "daddy issues," and are unhealed with respects to our own father, the "patriarchy," or the active principal within, the world around us may respond by being ungenerous, mean, or "unfair." This can manifest as 'bad luck,' lack of money in the bank, a boss or landlord that's an ass hole, or a shitty living situation.
On the other hand, Yin energy is NURTURING + RECEPTIVE. If we have "mommy issues," and are unhealed with respects to our mother, or the passive principal within, we may respond to the world around us by closing off our hearts + not accepting the gifts + love being presented to us.
It's so powerful to check in with how both these energies are playing out in our lives. Today, however, Father's Day is as an opportunity to celebrate your inner-father. The more you focus on the spiritual truth of the Father energy within, the more you will rightfully heal the Father energy without, lining yourself up with the abundant, ever giving generous flow of the Universe
"Soliciting money on the subway is illegal. We ask you NOT to give. Please help us maintain an ORDERLY subway," says the pre-recorded voice of a MAN on the intercom of the train. Interesting the MTA chose a man w/ a deep voice vs. the voice of a woman that announces the next stop. But w/o getting too into the psychology, I'd like to repeat something: "We ask you NOT to give." Say what? This mantra isn't just booming on the subway for millions to hear everyday, it's woven into the fabric of our culture. "WE ASK YOU NOT TO GIVE." It's a message making it okay to go against your human impulse towards compassion in order to maintain PEACE + ORDER. We see this core belief, HEAD OVER HEART, in our health care + tax system, our relationship to immigrants, policing + gun policy, and most profoundly, in our relationship to Mother Earth.
It's the Emperor Week with the Brooklyn Fools, so we are exploring AUTHORITY + ORDER. The Emperor can of course show up in many ways in a tarot read, but when he's most in line with his DIVINE power, it shows up as the SOLAR PLEXUS (FIRE energy) completely opened + balanced. One way this manifests is through ACTIVISM. Think Jesus Christ.
To be in line with your MASCULINITY isn't about being a dude, and it isn't about POWER + CONTROL. It's found in your ability to RULE from the HEART, transforming a LOVE of POWER, into the POWER of LOVE. You can think of the EMPEROR sitting in the SEAT OF COMPASSION. He's so FIRM in his BELIEF that Mother Earth is the great provider, that he will do everything in his power to assure she, along with all of her children, are taken care of.
In what ways are you using your AUTHORITY to give to others? Take a moment to place your left hand on your solar plexus and your right hand on your heart. Breathe into these two centers, and remind yourself, "I have everything I need. There's nothing for me to defend." As you exhale, let down your guard down. Let your heart crack open. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. Everyone on this planet has an EQUAL RIGHT to food, land, care, + LOVE. Are you doing everything in your POWER to help usher this ENERGY FORWARD?
