EIGHT OF PENTACLES
Happy Capricorn Season! ✨Capricorn, as the last Earth sign in the astrological wheel, represents the element Cosmic Earth. Super expansive with ambition, Capricorn stretches out wide, laying a solid foundation which to build off of for the New Year. ✨Re-financing. New Years Resolutions. Rest + Recovery. Coming off the buzz of holiday travels. New Beginnings. Healthy eating. This time of year allows our more practical and resourceful self to step up to podium, gifting us the opportunity to present our most responsible, and goal-oriented selves to the public. ✨Day 22 of the #bkfoolschallenge, "As the world around us restructures, what are we being asked to step into?" 8 of Pentacles Reversed ✨Slow-and-Steady. Take a deep breath. Allow yourself the space to relax and restore. You've fearlessly been pursuing your dreams and ambitions this whole year, and deserve a break. This Capricorn Season, especially with Mercury in Retrograde, reminds us to chill out. Give yourself a much needed break. Instead of setting lofty goals for the future, make a promise to yourself to nurture and fine tune the smaller details of your beautiful life: your health, relationships, and home. You're doing great and deserve some soft tender loving care. ✨To meditate more on Sun in Capricorn, you can use your Sun card paired with the Knight of Pentacles (Cardinal = Knight; Earth = Pentacles). ✨🙏✨

The Chariot asks, "In what area am I brilliantly balanced and victorious?" The 8 of Pentacles
Alan Rickman (aka Snape from Harry Potter) didn't get his first movie role until 46. Pema Chödrön didn't start practicing Budhism until her late 30s. Garth Brooks didn't start playing guitar until 27...😂 The 8 of Pentacles is a meditation on the power of persistence and hard work. But even more so it shows a deep love and connection to your craft. Pema Chödrön didn't start practicing Buddhism to become a best selling and first female author of Buddhist self-help books. The 8 of pentacles success does not come from the bigger picture of fame and fortune. It demonstrates the sort of discipline and work that is birthed from the fine detail and appreciation for the art form. Through consistent daily practice, the 8 of Pentacles reminds you that you will become a master of your craft.
Seeing this card as a meditation for where I'm "victorious and balanced" feels good. Although I may feel out of balance in other areas of my life, I will say I stick to structure and order when it comes to my daily yoga practice and daily tarot meditations. And inadvertently, both have become teaching and financial opportunities for me, which never was the original intent.
This card is a reminder that whatever it is you find yourself drawn to, no matter "how late in the game it is," trust that inclination. Pick up a guitar, start singing, write, create, whatever it is you've been putting off out of fear of failure or being too old, it's not true, just a story you've been telling yourself.
How do I improve my relationship with my body? 8 of pentacles.

We see in this card, he's left behind the city so he can go deeper into his practice. Since I'm not leaving NYC anytime soon, this is a reminder to carve out that space to return to my yoga mat and meditation practice daily.
